Answers

  1. I have no experience with trading, can you teach me? Absolutely! My entire service is centered in education. I have my Masters in Education and ten years worth of teaching experience in the State of New York. I left teaching in public schools to teach on Wall Street because I enjoy the competition. Once you become a client of mine there are lessons for day trading and swing trading. There’s a master watch list, daily watch lists, video lessons and much, much more. A lot of clients mirror my swing trades but I’m always looking to teach clients to fish, should they have the time to study.
  2. Aren’t small cap stocks dangerous? Small caps… JetBlue Airways (JBLU) or Joe’s Jeans (JOEZ), mid caps… Groupon (GRPN) or Zynga (ZNGA), large caps… Green Mountain Coffee (GMCR) or Netflix (NFLX) all have one thing in common as does every other stock for that matter – they’re all dangerous. The day of buy and hold is gone forever. From fraud to bankruptcies, oversold to overbought and earnings to offerings, there’s countless things you need to be aware of to stack the Wall Street odds in your favor. My service is designed to take all of those and more into consideration on every trade and I can teach you how to do it too.
  3. What is swing trading? A style of trading that attempts to capture gains in a stock within one to four days. Swing traders use technical analysis to look for stocks with short-term price momentum. Swing traders are not interested in the fundamental or intrinsic value of stocks, but rather in their price trends and patterns. My simple five step approach is scalable and no matter where your skill level is, I’ll make you a more disciplined trader.
  4. Does swing trading work for people with full time jobs? Yes. My system was designed for people who have full time jobs and want to actively trade small caps. I also has clients who are full time traders and work with them more closely in chat. I know what it’s like to trade and work full time. Prior to taking control of my destiny and running Jason Bond Picks, I was a public education teacher in New York for ten years while trading actively. My typical hold time is two to four days so this is a perfect service for someone who isn’t sitting in front of their trading screen all day long.
  5. How much money do I need to get started? I have clients with $1,000 and clients with $1,000,000. I have clients who only paper trade to learn and clients who run investment firms. My percentage goals are always the same so your results will simply depend on your account size and goals.
  6. I have a small account, will your system work for me? Absolutely. I’ve applied my strategy to $.01 stocks and $10 stocks. The only issue you will run into with a smaller account is not being able to swing trade three to five times a week as a result of not having enough funds. Having said that, the purpose of my strategy is education and having made 100% profit on a $.20 cent OTCBB stock I’m certain the strategy works with smaller account. I do find good setups are harder to game consistently below $1 because there is less liquidity. For example, the $.01 stock I nailed to $.06 had millions of dollar volume at the time of the trade, as did the $.20 stock, but then they tend to dry up. I find it’s easier to hit $3 to $7 stocks for 5-10% rinse and repeat than it is to hunt under $1. Learn my strategy, then hunt for the price range you like best, I’ve shared mine.
  7. What is day trading? A stock trader who holds positions for a very short time (from minutes to hours) and makes numerous trades each day. Most trades are entered and closed out within the same day. Luke Murray runs the day trading service and it’s a chat based only service for obvious reasons.
  8. What is a pattern day trader? You will be considered a pattern day trader if you trade four or more times in five business days and your day-trading activities are greater than six percent of your total trading activity for that same five-day period.
  9. What is the minimum equity requirement for a pattern day trader? (Rule applies to U.S. only) The minimum equity requirements on any day in which you trade is $25,000. The required $25,000 must be deposited in the account prior to any day-trading activities and must be maintained at all times.
  10. What happens if the equity in my account falls below the minimum equity requirement? (Rule applies to U.S. only)If the account falls below the $25,000 requirement, you will not be permitted to day trade until you deposit cash or securities in the account to restore the account to the $25,000 minimum equity level.
  11. What is my day-trading buying power under the rules? (Rule applies to U.S. only) You can trade up to four times your maintenance margin excess as of the close of business of the previous day. It is important to note that your firm may impose a higher minimum equity requirement and/or may restrict your trading to less than four times the day trader’s maintenance margin excess.
  12. What if I exceed my day-trading buying power? (Rule applies to U.S. only) If you exceed your day-trading buying power limitations, your brokerage firm will issue a day-trading margin call to you. You will have, at most, five business days to deposit funds to meet this day-trading margin call. Until the margin call is met, your day-trading account will be restricted to day-trading buying power of only two times maintenance margin excess based on your daily total trading commitment. If the day-trading margin call is not met by the fifth business day, the account will be further restricted to trading only on a cash available basis for 90 days or until the call is met.
  13. Does day trading work for people with full time jobs? No. Not unless your full time job allows you to participate from 9:30 a.m. EST – 4:00 p.m. EST. This is a chat based only product for obvious reasons. Chat based only means there are no email or text alerts for day trading, you must be in chat to participate.
  14. Do you advise? No, absolutely not. I am not a registered investment advisor. The service can best be described as a diary of a real trader. As such I show all of my moves in real time alerting not only when I buy but also when I sell. This is done using three modes of communication to include; email, text and chat. In addition I teach through a master watch list, daily watch list, portfolio, video lessons, trade performance and much, much more but I do not advise and neither to the moderators in chat.
  15. Do you have a free trial? No. Probably one of the most commonly asked questions. First of all I do not believe in free but rather you get what you pay for. Another reason I do not have a free trial my large paying client base. A free trial would bring in a lot of people who want to test my service true, but naturally they’d ask hundreds if not thousands of questions which would distract me from my paying clients who deserve my attention and therefore being distracted would eventually hurt my service. I assure you this, I believe strongly my service is as good as a college course so you will get your moneys worth if you apply yourself.
  16. Do you run special offers with discounted prices? No. I have never asked one client to pay $297 quarterly only to offer a 50% discount six months later to new clients. The Old Homestead Steakhouse in New York doesn’t discount prices for a reason and neither do I. I believe my service is worth every penny you pay and more and I work tirelessly to keep it that way. I firmly believe you get what you pay for.
  17. Are there refunds? No. If you sign up, plan on sticking around for the full three months. First because members immediately benefit from the knowledge of the stats, analytics or from my service, we do not give refunds. You should recognize that investing and trading is a marathon, not a sprint so every last piece of information that can help you learn along the way and give you “an edge” over your competitors is worth investing in, especially when that information costs less per month than a night out of dinner and drinks aka invest in your education! Second, there no refunds including if you forget billing recurs automatically every quarter. Refunds crush my merchant status and if you’re ever tried to get a merchant to run a business like I’m running, you fully understand how sensitive this relationship is. Your billing expiration date can be seen by clicking ‘Your Profile’ top right of any page while logged into the website. Again, if you forget to close your account before billing recurs, this is your fair warning there are no refunds.
  18. I purchased your service, does billing recur automatically? Yes, for your convenience billing recurs automatically every three months (quarterly). My merchant is PayPal so when you sign up a recurring profile is created. So long as you chose to continue service and the credit card you signed up with is still active, it’ll bill on the date listed in ‘Your Profile’ which can be found top right of any page when you are logged in.
  19. My billing is about to recur automatically but my credit card has changed, how do I change it? Simply send me your new card information including the type (Visa, MC, etc…), card number and expiration. Our billing team will update your recurring profile for you and your payments will continue to recurs automatically without interruption in service.
  20. I need to take a break from trading, how do I close my account? This is very easy, simply send your request using our contact form and our billing team close your recurring profile. Please give us at least one week notice. When your plan expires you’ll lose access to the site and stop receiving emails and text. Understand, simply unsubscribing email has nothing to do with closing your account, you must follow the steps above.
  21. What broker do you recommend? E*TRADE Pro is my favorite retail broker but they don’t have excellent borrows if you’re interested in short selling too. Specialty brokers I recommend include Interactive Brokers and SureTrader, their platform isn’t as good as E*TRADE Pro but they let you short stocks under $10 a lot more.
  22. What charting services do you recommend? As you know I have E*TRADE Pro. I also use Extra Charting with Official Realtime Data at StockCharts.com and FINVIZ*Elite at FINVIZ.com. For starters I’d suggest getting E*TRADE Pro and FINVIZ*Elite and inform E*Trade you plan to make 30 trades per quarter and it’s free. Keep in mind a buy counts as one trade as does a sell so that’s really only five swings in / out per month or about one per week. It’s $100 per month otherwise.
  23. How many alerts will I receive each week? I’ll send you about 3 – 5 swing trade alerts each week by email, text and chat in real-time but I do not trade just to trade. While the swing trade definition above suggests technical analysis only, I’m always looking for excellent catalysts to provide a backstop with my trades. Day trading is done in chat and run by Luke Murray who offers greedy, trigger happy traders 15 – 20 intraday ideas daily.
  24. What is the return performance? In 2013 Luke’s Day Trading performance was a staggering +125.70% or $762,999 in gains compared to the S&P 500 +29.60%. In 2013 my swing trading performance was +77.18% or $238,830 in gains compared to the S&P 500 +29.60%.
  25. What is the best way to contact you? Email jason@jasonbondpicks.com – I rarely use the phone, simply too many clients to take phone calls so email is by far and away the best mode of communication if you need me. Make sure you add jason@jasonbondpicks.com to your approved contacts so my messages do not go to spam.
  26. How do I change my email on file? When you sign up, the email you enter is used for login as well as my messages to you. To change this, simply contact support.
  27. I am not receiving emails, what should I do? First add jason@jasonbondpicks.com to your approved contacts and then check spam as well as any other corporate filters / AntiSpam solutions that might be applicable to your e-mail. If for whatever reason you’re still not getting email, contact support and we’ll look into it.
  28. How do I change my cell number on file for text? If you need to change your cell number, follow the instructions in your member page.
  29. I am not receiving text, what should I do? First make sure you have short codes enabled with your provider. The current short code I’m sending from is 70000. If you still are not receiving text, email support and we’ll look into it for you. Unfortunately SMS text is not something I can guarantee, while it works for most, about 3% of clients have difficulties.
  30. How do I change my name in chat? You can’t change your chat name. It’s your first name and first three initials of your last name. I’m trying to create a family of real traders, this is very difficult to do without using real names.
  31. I can’t access the chat room, is there technical support? Yes, but not from me. Instead contact Omnovia directly because they are my chat provider. Omnovia’s support team is excellent and always online.
  32. How do I access chat from mobile? Download Omnovia’s app and then login to chat through the link on my homepage, the same way you would if using a computer.
  33. You show a lot of big wins on the homepage, do you share your losses too? Yes. Clients are alerted to all of my trades, wins and losses, and can easily track my performance. Additionally there’s a performance page.
